JOHNS BLOG

2010
The season has just started to come to life, the river temp has been very low, but has started to warm up over the last few weeks, several small cats have put in an appearance, and as I am writing this blog my other guide has just had a 180lb out from the bank!! with the river up by 2 meters (what a fight he said) lets hope that's a good sign for the season to come.

2009
Was a fairly good season with 2 cats topping the 165/170lb mark, 4 cats topping the 135/148lb mark,17 cats between 108/127lb, several carp to 34lb (that's good carp for a fast flowing river).

2008
The largest catfish from our section this year went 200lb and was caught by 2 german anglers from the bank!!

From our boats we had 22 cats over the ton mark the biggest going 165lb also many fish in the region of 75lb to 95lb, even in December on a social with a cold north easterley wind blowing we managed a 108lb.

The carp didn't come out to play much but still managed carp to 38lb, and that's a good carp from a very fast flowing river, anyway tight lines for now.
